Upcoming Free Demo of Final Fantasy XVI: What to Expect

After a month-long wait, Final Fantasy XVI will soon be within our reach. Square Enix, the renowned franchise’s developer, is granting us a glimpse of the highly anticipated game through a free demo, earlier people were also talking about the release date.

Although specific details about the demo remain limited, the game’s director and producer, Naoki Yoshida, has shared some intriguing insights in recent interviews. With Sony hosting its PlayStation Showcase next Wednesday, it is likely that further information about the demo will be unveiled during the event.

During our testing phase, we had the privilege of experiencing an extended demo comprising two distinct parts. The first part revolves around the youthful and inexperienced protagonist, Clive, while the second part focuses on an older and more self-aware version of Clive, whom players will predominantly control throughout the adventure.

The public demo will exclusively feature the first part, providing an opportunity for players to familiarize themselves with the controls through a series of tutorials. Additionally, they will have the chance to explore semi-open areas of relatively modest scale until they confront a final boss. Altogether, players can expect approximately two hours of gameplay, including videos showcasing characters and environments.
