Cryptocurrency: Sitharaman has come to Bengaluru to participate in the two-day meeting. He has so far held separate bilateral meetings with US Finance Minister Janet Yellen, Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki and Italian Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti.
FM Nirmala Sitharaman: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held bilateral meetings with finance ministers of other countries including America and Japan before the G-20 meeting. During this, he discussed issues like creating a global framework to regulate crypto currency, measures to deal with global credit risks and strengthening the multilateral development bank. The meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors of G-20 countries will start from 24 February. G20 is a group of developed and developing countries.
