Zoom’s New AI Features to compete with it’s Competitors

Zoom is a video conferencing software that has become increasingly popular since the COVID-19 pandemic forced many people to work from home. However, with the rise of remote work, several other video conferencing platforms have entered the market, including Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex, which recently announced new features.

Zoom, the video conferencing platform, is enhancing its Zoom IQ assistant by adding new capabilities to compete with various companies such as Slack, Calendly, Google, and Microsoft.

These features include generating whiteboards based on text prompts, AI-powered meeting summaries, prompt-based email responses, and video “Huddles” along with a meeting scheduler.

The company also intends to introduce AI-powered message and email drafts on an invitation-only basis in April and select Zoom IQ meeting summary features more broadly.

Moreover, Zoom’s new Calendar and Mail apps enable users to access their schedules and emails directly from Zoom.

Besides competing with Google and Microsoft in the AI space, Zoom has also transformed its service into an all-in-one productivity app by introducing several additional capabilities.

Furthermore, the Zoom IQ assistant can now provide AI-powered summaries and “ask further questions” even when a user joins a meeting midway. After the meeting concludes, the bot will post a summary to Zoom’s team chat feature and summarize chat threads in the team chat.

Overall, Zoom’s new features show that the company is committed to remaining competitive and providing its users with the best possible experience in the growing remote work and virtual event spaces.
